How a year runs

Fewer sessions. More depth.

The Top Table isn't a programme you attend. It's a year with a circle that stays with you.

  • Four table sessions. Two half-days in person in a private, confidential space. Two online. Each one shaped by what the table says matters most that month. Jenni and Advita bring the thinking and a real example, then the table works through a member's live challenge. Everyone leaves with one thing they'll do.
  • Four one-to-ones. Private coaching with Jenni or Advita, for the decisions you can't take to the table yet.
  • Quarterly trends report. How your peers are resourced, structured and measured, and what's coming next. The report you'll quote in your budget conversation.
  • Your profile. Impact assessment plus DISC and Values profiles through the year, so you know where your confidence and credibility sit and what to work on.
  • Ask the table. A private WhatsApp group for a fast, candid steer on a decision, a supplier or a tricky stakeholder. Between sessions, not just at them.
  • On-demand learning. Confidence and credibility courses to dip into when you need them.
  • The members' dinner. An annual evening with every Top Table member, with a half-day conference pitched at where you are now, not where you were fifteen years ago.

A welcome box marks your seat. Sessions are never recorded. What's said at the table stays at the table.

Know where you stand

Most directors only find out how peers run their function by chance. Four times a year, the Top Table benchmarking report puts it in front of you: team size against organisation size, budget ranges, how comms sits in the structure, what directors are being asked to own, and how they're measuring it. Bring it to your planning cycle. Bring it to the board.

Investment

£4,167 a year (plus VAT if applicable)

  2. Apply in February. A short form, then a call with Jenni or Advita to make sure the table is right for you. Not sure whether it's the Top Table or the Round Table? This call will help you decide.
  3. Get ready. Once you're accepted, you'll take your assessments and get access to the courses.
  4. Take your seat in June. Your year starts with your first session, your welcome box and the members' dinner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at hello@thebeliefbuilders.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

If you decide how your function's budget is spent, the Top Table. If you're senior but someone else holds the budget, the Round Table. It's about responsibility, not job title. Not sure? Register your interest and we'll talk it through on the call.

Because your time is the scarcest thing you have. The Top Table trades volume for depth: four table sessions, four private coaching sessions, quarterly benchmarking, the members' dinner and conference, and a circle of directors on WhatsApp all year. You're paying for the calibre of the room and the access between sessions, not for hours in a chair.

Yes. Sessions are never recorded, in-person sessions run in a private space, and we don't name members without permission. People speak more openly when they know that.

Yes. We'll invoice your organisation and provide a VAT invoice. If you need help making the case, email us for the CFO summary.

Communication directors from a mix of sectors and organisation sizes, never direct competitors at the same table. You'll meet them at your first session.

Now. Applications open in February for a June start, and most learning budgets are set before then.

It happens at this level. You'll get the written summary, your one-to-ones carry on, and the WhatsApp group keeps you in the conversation.
